CONTROLLER & FINANCIAL DIRECTOR

 

Primary Function Of Position

In this role, you will lead the company’s financial planning and accounting operations for Intuitive Mexicali Manufacturing Plant and support Product Cost Accounting for Intuitive Global Operations. The position requires a person to be a close business partner to the VP of Mfg. Operations for NA, and fully integrated with the operational processes to anticipate and prevent critical business or performance issues provide financial guidance for projects and initiatives and influence in the development of the site{s operational strategies .

Your duties include establishing targets, developing budgets, performing financial analysis, and ensure adherence to Regulatory compliance and Corporate Policies and Procedures. This position requires an excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal and leadership abilities. Your goal will be to guide the company towards profitability and success.,

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of operational strategies and objectives for the plant that are aligned with Corporate strategic initiatives.
  • Lead the Plant’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Provide in-depth analysis on variances to plan and forecast.
  • Educate the management team and other key plant personnel on the financial impact of decisions and actions.
  • Adopt Corporate Accounting policies, practices, and instructions for the plant accounting needs and control, as well as ensuring compliance with corporate practices and Mexican Laws and Tax ruling.
  • Lead the Cost Accounting function from Corporate, Global Operations, and for products manufactured at the Plant to ensure that all material and labor costs are properly maintained and accounted for.
  • Develop and monitor KPI’S, operational goals, and financial metrics.
  • Perform and oversee accounting operation tasks related to month-end and annual close.
  • Supervise day to day activities related to general ledgers (leading ledger- USD and non-leading ledger or Mexican legal entity)
  • Fixed assets control and CapEx monitoring to ensure timely completion according to plan and Corporate policies.
  • Supervise Payroll and Accounts Payable for the Mexican entity.
  • Ensure Tax and regulatory compliance.
  • Standard Cost Accounting process for Prod. Ops, Service and NPI
  • Recognize trends in company spending, revenue, the value of production and recommend solutions to any problem areas.
  • Supervise all financial audits and establish internal controls to prevent fraud.
  • Ad hoc Operations Score Board and Dashboards reporting.
  • Drive our Culture Strategy by fostering our mission, founding principles, individual and leadership expectations.
  • Lead the financial team talent development process and career growth.
  • Strategic Business Partnering with all functional areas in the site, to help them meet their financial objectives and goals and fulfill the corporate mission.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant field; MBA strongly preferred.
  • Fully Bilingual (English-Spanish) with at least ten years of relevant manufacturing experience, in the Management of director’s roles
  • Comprehensive cost accounting background, Mexican Tax ruling, and a thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Effective collaborator and influencer across finance and business partners following the proper communication channels and escalation process agreed with the local management team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service with a strong sense of ownership for projects and results.
  • Demonstrated role as a change agent with a history of seeking continuous improvements.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Outstanding leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Previous experience in an SAP environment an advantage.
  • Limited travel is required.
